Double save by James Abramski | Shakey vs Renegade Football - 25th October

Todays game was always going to be a tough one against local side Shakey @ Hillsbrough collage. We had most of our defence missing today including Player Of The Month - Josh Evans.

The unbeaten Brinsworth Whitehill team also turned up to watch as their game got called off an hour before kick off against Prince Of Wales. We take on Brinsworth Whitehill next week at home.

We went 1 - 0 down due to a scrappy goal early in the first half but brought it back to 1 - 1 not long after when the ball came back out to Marcus who didn't miss the target.

Goal keeper James Abramski came out to a ball and was lucky to receive a yellow card as he collided with their sticker. Referee John Burrows cost the team a few quid as usual with multiple yellow cards but kept control of a well battled game.

Both teams pushed for a second goal with some great attempts by both teams. We had a break through as Vela came on off the bench and won himself a penalty in the second half as the Shakey keeper brought him down in the box. He made it 2 - 1 to Renegade Football. Vela has been making a great impact every week coming on from the bench and scoring goals.

Late into the second half Mitch gave away a clumsy penalty. Hats off to Man Of The Match - Goalkeeper James Abramski for the double save to stop Danny Booth from scoring the equaliser from the spot. It wasn't the best performance from us but it is 3 points and another game unbeaten. Next week we play 2nd place Brinsworth Whitehill. Both teams are unbeaten and three points are a must to get us into the top 3. Team sponsor: RTB Spares - BMW & MINI Dismantlers
